Commissioner Chairs Meeting to Resolve Sarafa Bazaar Civic Issues in Sargodha

SARGODHA, Jul 06 (APP):Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Monday chaired a meeting to review issues
facing the city’s Sarafa Bazaar and discuss measures to improve civic facilities
and the overall urban environment.
According to the spokesperson for the commissioner office here, the meeting was attended
by Assistant Commissioner Ahmed Sher Gondal, Chief Officer Municipal Corporation
Ahmed Bilal Makhdoom, officials of relevant departments, President of the Sargodha Chamber
of Commerce and Industry Khawaja Yasir Qayyum, traders’ representatives and office-bearers of the Sarafa Association.
The meeting reviewed the proposed beautification plan for Sarafa Bazaar and discussed key civic
issues, including sanitation, parking, encroachments, security, sewerage, street lighting and other public amenities.
On the occasion, the traders highlighted their concerns and presented suggestions for improving business conditions in the market.
Addressing the meeting, the commissioner said the business community was the backbone of the national economy and resolving traders’ issues remained a top priority of the administration.
He directed the relevant departments to take coordinated and effective measures to improve civic
facilities, ensure cleanliness, remove encroachments, maintain smooth traffic flow and strengthen security arrangements in Sarafa Bazaar and other parts of the city.
He reaffirmed that the district administration, in coordination with all concerned departments, would continue practical efforts to provide a better environment and improved public services for citizens and the business community.
The meeting also issued time-bound directives to the relevant departments for resolving
the identified issues.
