LAHORE, Jul 01 (APP):Commissioner Lahore Division Marryam Khan and Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana on Wednesday visited the homes of children who lost their lives in the Kahna tuition centre roof collapse, offered condolences to the bereaved families and assured them that a comprehensive investigation into the incident was underway.
Deputy Commissioner Lahore Ali Ijaz also accompanied them during the visit. The officials offered Fateha for the departed children, prayed for patience and strength for the bereaved families, and sought the early recovery of the injured children.
Expressing sympathy with the grieving parents, the commissioner and the CCPO said they shared their sorrow and stood with them in this difficult time. “Words cannot adequately express the pain of this tragedy,” the CCPO remarked while consoling the families.
On the occasion, Commissioner Marryam Khan said investigations into the Kahna incident were in progress and the inquiry report would be prepared after examining every aspect of the tragedy. She said Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif was deeply grieved over the incident and shared the pain of the bereaved parents.
The commissioner added that the injured children admitted to hospitals were being provided with the best possible medical treatment and healthcare facilities.
