SARGODHA, May 14 (APP):Chairman of the Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA), Tariq Subhani, Thursday said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s vision was to provide maximum relief to the public and make the land record system more transparent, accessible, and modern.
He expressed these views while chairing a meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office to review revenue recovery performance and ongoing land record reforms in the district.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Sargodha Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry, Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue (ADCR) Ahmad Haroon, and other concerned officers, while Assistant Commissioners participated through video link.
During the meeting, Chairman Tariq Subhani appreciated the district administration for securing top position across Punjab in revenue recovery performance. He particularly commended the efforts of the DC and ADC-R for their effective administrative management.
On the occasion, the ADCR gave a detailed briefing on Sargodha’s geographical importance, revenue matters, resolution of khiywat and mutation issues, and other administrative affairs. He informed the meeting that more than 20,000 khiywat and mutation-related cases had been resolved so far.
He further stated that out of 848 revenue estates (mouzas) in Sargodha district, 800 had been fully digitalized, while the remaining 48 would soon be notified. The PLRA chairman praised the performance of Sargodha’s revenue team, saying the officers were carrying out their duties with dedication and professionalism.
Later, the PLRA chairman visited the Land Record Center Sargodha, where he interacted with citizens and reviewed the facilities being provided to the public. He inspected the complaint register, obtained direct feedback from visitors, and examined arrangements including the waiting area, drinking water facility, token system, and other public services.
In view of the increasing number of visitors at the Land Record Center, the chairman directed the district administration to identify a suitable location for establishing a sub-center within the city to facilitate citizens.
