CM reviews Apni Chhat,Apna Ghar scheme,orders timely completion of targets
LAHORE, Nov 03 (APP):Punjab Chief Minister(CM),Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed the authorities concerned to ensure timely completion of targets under the Apni Chhat,Apna Ghar housing project, which has received an overwhelming public response and recognition from international institutions.
She issued the directives while chairing a special meeting to review the progress of the Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar project,here on Tuesday.
The meeting was informed that more than 1.7 million people had registered on the Apni Chhat,Apna Ghar portal, while over 225,000 loans had been disbursed under the scheme.
As many as 128,718 houses had been completed, while 62,600 more houses were rapidly nearing completion.
The meeting was further informed that 171,597 beneficiaries had received the second installment of their loans, reflecting progress in the implementation of the housing initiative.
The scheme had also achieved a significant milestone in loan recovery, with a recovery rate of 97.6 percent. Installments amounting to Rs.22.29 billion had been recovered from beneficiaries.
The meeting also approved inviting fresh applications under the Apni Chhat,Apna Ghar scheme.
Regarding the Apni Chhat,Mehfooz Chhat initiative, the meeting was informed that the application process had been completed and loans worth Rs.1.216 billion had been disbursed to 3,055 applicants.
Construction and expansion of 532 houses had also been completed under the initiative.
The CM directed the relevant departments to accelerate work and ensure the timely achievement of all project targets.
