LAHORE, Aug 08 (APP): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Saturday paid glowing tribute to Captain Hamza Akram, who embraced martyrdom while fighting terrorists during an operation in Hangu, saying the nation was proud of the brave officer’s exceptional courage and sacrifice.
In a statement, the chief minister expressed heartfelt condolences and sympathy with the family of the martyred officer and prayed that Allah Almighty grant him the highest place in Jannah and bless the bereaved family with patience and strength.
She said Captain Hamza Akram displayed extraordinary bravery by eliminating seven terrorists before laying down his life in the line of duty, adding that his courage and unwavering commitment to defending the motherland would always be remembered with pride.
CM Maryam Nawaz said the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan’s armed forces in the fight against terrorism were invaluable and would never be forgotten. She added that the entire nation stood shoulder to shoulder with its security forces in the collective resolve to eradicate terrorism and safeguard the country’s peace and stability.
