FAISALABAD, Sep 09 (APP):The drive for “cleaner Faisalabad” is moving beyond streets and sanitation operations into classrooms as Suthra Punjab Agency (SPA) has expedited its efforts to make cleanliness a daily habit among children and nurture a generation which treats environmental responsibility as a civic duty.
As part of the ongoing cleanliness and environmental awareness campaign, Managing Director SPA Abid Hussain Bhatti visited Divisional Public School & College and interacted with students to highlight importance of cleanliness, proper waste disposal and maintaining a healthy environment.
Addressing the students, he said that a clean environment is foundation of a healthy, prosperous and vibrant society, adding that cleanliness is not only the responsibility of institutions alone but also a collective duty of every individual.
He stressed the need to inculcate the habit of cleanliness among children and said that today’s students would become tomorrow’s responsible citizens and their attitudes towards cleanliness would have a direct impact on quality of life in the society.
He urged the students to make cleanliness an integral part of their daily lives, avoid throwing waste on roads and public places, and play an active role in keeping their surroundings clean.
Clean Faisalabad is not merely a dream but a realistic goal that could be transformed into a beautiful reality through collective responsibility, public participation and sustained efforts by all segments of the society, he added.
