MULTAN, Aug 23 (APP):Managing Director Horticulture Agency Multan,Syed Waseem Hassan on Sunday visited various city chowks,parks,green belts and flyovers to review ongoing beautification and landscaping activities under the Punjab government’s Green Vision.
During the visit,he inspected completed paintwork at Chungi No. 9 flyover and the walls of Kutchery flyover, besides reviewing fresh plantation in decorative planters at Kutchery Chowk.
He also reviewed landscaping and cleanliness arrangements at Eidgah Park and directed officials to expedite restoration and development work on the lake at Shah Shams Park.
The MD was informed that beautification work along the green belt on Qasoor Gardezi Road was in progress.
He directed officials to carry out additional plantation along the Jamilabad green belt.
Speaking on the occasion, Waseem Hassan said flyovers across the city had been beautified under a public-private partnership,while permanent planters installed at various chowks would help protect trees and plants from damage.
He said pillars between Kutchery Chowk and Chungi No. 7 had been given fresh paint and plantation was being carried out around them.
He added that arrangements were also being made to ensure proper irrigation and landscaping of green belts across the city.
The lake and cafe development project at Shah Shams Park would be completed this month, he said, adding that plantation and beautification activities would continue across the city in line with Chief Minister Punjab’s Green Vision.
