Chiniot police crackdown nets 4 drug peddlers, 5.3kg hashish seized

CHINIOT, Apr 5 (APP): Chiniot police have intensified operations against drug peddlers, arresting four suspects and seizing 5340 grams of hashish on Sunday.
According to police sources, the crackdown follows instructions from District Police Officer Dr. Atif Naveed. The operations were conducted in different areas, with Saddar Police Station arresting two suspects with 2680 grams of hashish.
Bhowana Police Station arrested a peddler with 1260 grams, while Muhammad Wala Police Station seized 1400 grams from another suspect.
The police teams were led by Sub-Inspectors Imran Khan, Rizwan Ali, and Arsalan Zafar, with support from other officers. Cases have been registered under the Narcotics Act.
The arrested suspects are facing further investigation, with police gathering more evidence.
The crackdown reflects Chiniot police’s commitment to combating drug trafficking.
The police operation is part of a special campaign across the district, targeting drug peddlers and networks.
