Chiniot Police on Monday arrested 10 suspects during a district-wide crackdown against criminal elements over the past 24 hours, launched on the directives of District Police Officer Dr. Naveed Atif as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen law and order across the district.

CHINIOT, Jun 29 (APP): Chiniot Police on Monday arrested 10 suspects during a district-wide crackdown against criminal elements over the past 24 hours, launched on the directives of District Police Officer Dr. Naveed Atif as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen law and order across the district.
According to police, three suspects were apprehended during operations targeting criminal activities, while seven others were arrested for offences including illegal gas refilling, over-speeding and reckless driving. Police also carried out extensive checking through the Police Post App, screening 241 suspicious individuals and 357 suspicious vehicles during the operation.
As part of the enforcement drive, more than 300 vehicles were issued challans for violating traffic regulations, while fines exceeding Rs500,000 were imposed on traffic offenders. The campaign also focused on enhancing road safety and ensuring strict compliance with traffic laws.
DPO Dr. Naveed Atif while exclusively talking to APP, said the police are taking practical measures to safeguard the lives and property of citizens by effectively utilizing manpower and modern technology to trace and apprehend criminals. He reaffirmed the department’s commitment to maintaining law and order and urged citizens to report the presence of criminal elements to the nearest police station or by calling the Police Helpline 15.
