CEO DEA directs complete closure of schools during summer break

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) District Education Authority (DEA) has directed all public and private schools to remain completely closed during the summer vacation following the expiry of the permitted summer camp period.

SIALKOT, Jul 03 (APP): Chief Executive Officer (CEO) District Education Authority (DEA) has directed all public and private schools to remain completely closed during the summer vacation following the expiry of the permitted summer camp period.
According to an official handout, the Punjab School Education Department had allowed summer camps only from June 1 to June 30, 2026. With the expiry of the approved period, no educational activities, summer camps, or attendance of students and staff will be allowed in schools during the remaining summer vacation.
The CEO directed all District Education Officers, Deputy District Education Officers, Assistant Education Officers and heads of educational institutions to ensure strict implementation of the orders.
The handout warned that departmental and legal action would be taken against individuals or institutions found violating the directives, while the relevant authorities have been instructed to ensure full compliance.
