Cattle Farming: Third Phase of Livestock Card Scheme launched

MULTAN, Jul 14 (APP): The Punjab government launched the third phase of the CM Punjab Livestock Card , following successful completion of the first two phases.
Under the scheme, farmers keeping five to 20 heads of livestock, including goats and lambs, can avail interest-free loans of up to Rs 540,000. Applications for the third phase will begin from July 15, 2026.
The livestock card also offers a 25 percent cash withdrawal facility for eligible farmers.
According to the Livestock and Dairy Development Department Punjab, applicants must be residents of Punjab and owners of the animals declared in their application, with an active mobile SIM registered in their own name required at the time of applying.
Senior veterinary officer Dr Jamshaid Akhtar said card holders would be able to purchase animal feed, silage and mineral supplements from registered dealers upon verification of their identity documents and card validity.
Interested farmers can register through the department’s helpline 0800-9211, at veterinary hospitals and Maqam Sahulat desks, or via the official portal plc.punjab.gov.pk.
