A cake-cutting ceremony was held in Rawalpindi to mark Youm-e-Takbeer, commemorating Pakistan’s nuclear tests.

RAWALPINDI, Jun 05 (APP): A cake-cutting ceremony was held in Rawalpindi to mark Youm-e-Takbeer, commemorating Pakistan’s nuclear tests.
The event was organized at the residence of Chaudhry Muhammad Niaz, CDA Mazdoor Union leader in collaboration with Pasban-e-Watan Foundation.
Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Culture Punjab Shazia Rizwan attended the ceremony as chief guest, while a number of social and political figures were also present.
Speakers highlighted the significance of Youm-e-Takbeer, terming it a milestone in Pakistan’s history when the country emerged as the first nuclear power in the Muslim world and seventh globally.
Participants paid tribute to the national leadership and martyrs, and reaffirmed their commitment to national unity, defence and development.
Special prayers were offered for the country’s security, stability and prosperity, followed by cake cutting.
