BISP DG conducts surprise visit to District Office Kasur
LAHORE, Nov 05 (APP):Director General Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Punjab Naseeruddin Sarwar paid a surprise visit to the BISP District Office Kasur on Thursday to review its overall functioning and assess the quality of services being provided to beneficiaries.
During the visit, he reviewed service delivery operations, administrative arrangements and staff performance. He also interacted with officers and staff to assess their working procedures and learn about the challenges faced in facilitating beneficiaries.
The DG also met beneficiaries present at the office and sought their feedback regarding the services, experiences and difficulties they might be facing while accessing BISP facilities. He stressed the need to ensure timely, transparent and hassle-free services to deserving beneficiaries without unnecessary delays or inconvenience.
Naseeruddin Sarwar directed the staff to maintain transparency, accountability, discipline and professionalism in official matters. He also instructed them to ensure courteous behaviour, efficient handling of public inquiries and prompt resolution of beneficiaries’ complaints and grievances.
He observed that the Tehsil Office served as a vital link between the programme and its beneficiaries, emphasizing the need to further improve public service delivery.
He reiterated that regular monitoring and surprise inspections were essential to improving institutional efficiency, identifying operational gaps and ensuring compliance with departmental policies and guidelines.
Assistant Director (Monitoring and Evaluation), Central Zone Office Lahore, Zunera Khalid, accompanied him during the visit.
