FAISALABAD, Jun 20 (APP):Secretary Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Faisalabad Prof Dr Saleem Taqi Shah launched a sweeping crackdown against the cheating mafia during ongoing examinations and removed five examination officials from duty after uncovering evidence of their involvement in facilitating unfair means and allegedly receiving money from students.
Acting on special directives of Divisional Commissioner and Chairperson BISE Faisalabad Madam Musarrat Jabeen to ensure complete transparency in examinations, Dr. Saleem Taqi Shah conducted surprise inspections at various examination centers and ordered immediate action against officials found negligent or involved in malpractice.
The BISE spokesman said that the secretary board removed the deputy superintendent from Government Higher Secondary School Centre No.274-JB while the superintendent, deputy superintendent and an invigilator posted at Government High School Center No.275-JB were also relieved of their duties.
Similarly, a deputy superintendent at Center No.246, Government Hussainia High School Jhang, was removed after evidence surfaced linking him to facilitating students in examinations.
Meanwhile, Dr Saleem Taqi Shah said that concrete evidence was obtained during inspections indicating that some officials had allegedly accepted money from students and provided assistance in solving examination papers by violating examination rules and compromising the integrity of the assessment process.
He said that the evidence retrieved from a deputy superintendent’s mobile phone at Government Hussainia High School Jhang allegedly revealed his involvement in facilitating cheating and receiving payments from students.
Following the findings, the District Education Officer (DEO) Jhang immediately suspended Amanullah, a teacher of Government High School Majhi Sultan, and initiated departmental proceedings against him.
Dr Saleem Taqi Shah said that recommendations had been forwarded to the higher authorities for strict disciplinary action against the officials under the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability (PEEDA) Act.
