SARGODHA, Aug 06 (APP):The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Sargodha, announced the results of the Matriculation Annual Examination 2026 on Thursday.
A total of 101,818 candidates submitted admission forms for the examination, while 100,611 appeared in the exams. Of them, 68,637 candidates were declared successful, taking the overall pass percentage to 68.2%.
In Sargodha District, 46,555 candidates appeared in the examination, of whom 32,829 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 70.52%.
In Mianwali District, 19,696 candidates appeared in the examination, out of whom 12,529 were declared successful. The district recorded a pass percentage of 63.61%.
In Khushab District, 16,376 candidates appeared in the examination, with 11,461 passing. The district’s pass percentage stood at 69.99%.
In Bhakkar District, 17,984 candidates appeared in the examination, of whom 11,818 were declared successful, recording a pass percentage of 65.71%.
A prize distribution ceremony was held at the Board Complex in honour of the students who secured top positions.
Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali attended the ceremony as the chief guest. Other distinguished guests included Regional Police Officer Shahzad Asif Khan, Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry, Vice Chancellor of the University of Sargodha Dr Qaiser Abbas, Provincial Parliamentary Secretary Mansoor Azam Sindhu, Members of the Provincial Assembly Malik Asif Bhai and Mian Ikram-ul-Haq, Deputy Inspector of Prisons Saeedullah Gondal, District Police Officer Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem, and President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Khawaja Yasir Qayyum.
The commissioner, vice chancellor, provincial parliamentary secretary and other guests distributed shields, certificates and prizes among the position-holding students.
BISE Sargodha Chairman Abbas Haider Gondal, Secretary Abdul Hassan Naqvi, Controller of Examinations Nazar Abbas Gondal, board officers, teachers, parents and students attended the ceremony.
