Balloting held for super seeder subsidy in Muzaffargarh

The Punjab Agriculture Department successfully conducted a transparent balloting process for the distribution of Super Seeder subsidies in Muzaffargarh under its farmer-friendly and environmentally sustainable initiative aimed at promoting modern agricultural practices.

MUZAFFARGARH, Jul 17 (APP): The Punjab Agriculture Department successfully conducted a transparent balloting process for the distribution of Super Seeder subsidies in Muzaffargarh under its farmer-friendly and environmentally sustainable initiative aimed at promoting modern agricultural practices.
According to the department’s spokesperson, a total of 75 applications were received for the subsidy scheme. After scrutiny, six applications were rejected for not meeting the eligibility criteria, while 69 applications were included in the computerized balloting process.
As a result of the draw, 35 farmers were declared successful and selected to receive the Super Seeder subsidy, while the remaining 34 applicants were placed on the waiting list.
The balloting was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Muzaffargarh Ali Sameer to ensure transparency and fairness. Deputy Director Agriculture Shakeel Anwar and Assistant Director Agriculture Bashir Khan Buzdar served as members of the balloting committee.
The Punjab Agriculture Department said the Super Seeder subsidy programme is part of the provincial government’s efforts to support farmers, encourage the adoption of modern farm machinery, and promote environmentally friendly crop residue management by discouraging stubble burning.
