Azma Bukhari says Pakistan Day renews pledge to safeguard country

Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bukhari, in her message on Pakistan Day, said that March 23 symbolizes the renewal of the nation’s commitment to protect Pakistan and serves as a reminder of the unwavering resolve, immense sacrifices, and tireless struggle of the country’s forefathers.

LAHORE, Mar 23 (APP): Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bukhari, in her message on Pakistan Day, said that March 23 symbolizes the renewal of the nation’s commitment to protect Pakistan and serves as a reminder of the unwavering resolve, immense sacrifices, and tireless struggle of the country’s forefathers.
She said Pakistan Day marks the foundation of a historic movement through which Muslims secured an independent and sovereign homeland within seven years, adding that the nation today enjoys freedom because of the selfless efforts and enduring sacrifices of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Muhammad Iqbal and their companions.
Azma Bukhari said the vision of Pakistan presented in 1940 has now evolved into a strong, stable and impregnable state, adding that the country’s defence is fully capable of responding effectively to any threat on every front.
She said Nawaz Sharif played an important role in strengthening Pakistan’s defence, while the armed forces remain fully prepared to protect every inch of the homeland.
The minister reiterated that no compromise would be made on national security, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and said the entire nation would continue to contribute toward Pakistan’s stability and progress.
