LAHORE, Sep 19 (APP):Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the passing of senior stage actor Asif Iqbal, who died of a heart attack.
In her condolence statement, the minister said the actor’s death was a great shock to his family and paid tribute to his longstanding contribution to theatre.
Azma Bokhari said Asif Iqbal rendered significant services to the field of theatre and established a distinct identity through his unique style of conversation and acting. She expressed heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed that Allah Almighty may forgive the deceased and grant patience to the family to bear the loss.
