Auqaf Secretary stresses technical training for seminary students to ensure employment opportunities

Secretary and Chief Administrator of Auqaf Punjab, Dr. Ehsan Bhutta on Wednesday said that practical steps were being taken to equip students of religious seminaries with modern skills and promote self-reliance.

LAHORE, Apr 01 (APP): Secretary and Chief Administrator of Auqaf Punjab, Dr.Ehsan Bhutta on Wednesday said that practical steps were being taken to equip students of religious seminaries with modern skills and promote self-reliance.
Speaking during his visit to Jamia Hajveria and the Mian Mir Complex, he said seminaries would be aligned with contemporary requirements to enable students to secure respectable employment.
Dr. Bhutta added that,in collaboration with Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority,students would be provided technical training in various fields to help them lead dignified professional lives and contribute positively to society.
During the visit, he paid respects at the shrine of Hazrat Mian Mir,offering Fateha and praying for the country’s progress, peace and stability.
He highlighted the saint’s message of love,tolerance and interfaith harmony,noting that Hazrat Mian Mir (RA) had also laid the foundation of the Golden Temple in Amritsar,reflecting a universal message of peace and brotherhood.
Dr.Bhutta also offered Fateha at the grave of former Chief Secretary Abdullah Sumbal.
He directed that the space vacated by Akhuwat be used for technical education and skill development,enabling students to become self-reliant.
Dr. Bhutta inspected all floors of the Mian Mir Complex and instructed officials to ensure rooftop cleanliness and complete whitewashing before April 4.
He stressed the provision of all basic facilities,including the principal’s office,staff room and computer lab.
“These measures will help bridge the gap between religious education and practical skills,paving the way for a better and more dignified future for students,” he said.
