ATC extends Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s interim bail in May 9 cases until May 7

LAHORE, Apr 03 (APP): An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday extended the interim bail of Shah Mahmood Qureshi until May 7 in multiple cases related to the May 9 riots, including attacks on Jinnah House and Askari Tower.
The hearing was conducted by ATC duty Judge Manzer Ali Gill, during which jail warrant papers relating to Qureshi were presented before the court.
The court extended his pre-arrest bail and directed defence counsel to complete arguments on the bail petitions at the next hearing.
Qureshi has filed interim bail applications in several cases, including those concerning the attack on Jinnah House, Askari Tower attack, burning of the Pakistan Muslim League-N office, and torching of a container at Kalma Chowk.
According to court proceedings, his interim bail petitions had earlier lapsed following his arrest, but were later restored on the orders of the Lahore High Court.
