ATC defers hearing on Falak Javed’s post-arrest bail until Aug 10

LAHORE, Aug 05 (APP): An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday adjourned until August 10 the hearing of post-arrest bail petition of PTI activist Falak Javed in a case relating to the alleged attack on Islamabad police outside Zaman Park.
ATC Judge Malik Abid Hussain heard the matter and, on the prosecution’s request, granted time to produce the complete case record. The court also directed the state prosecutor to present arguments on the bail petition at the next hearing.
The case regarding the alleged attack on police was registered at Race Course Police Station under FIR No. 410/23.
Falak had filed the petition through her counsel, submitting that she was entitled to bail.
She further submitted that the investigation had been completed and there was no justification for keeping her in jail any longer.
However, the prosecution had argued that the accused had been nominated in the case concerning the alleged attack on Islamabad police officers at Zaman Park.
It further claimed that a petrol bomb had been recovered from her possession.
