An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday sentenced two accused to rigorous imprisonment in a case involving the recovery of explosive materials.

LAHORE, Jun 08 (APP): An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday sentenced two accused to rigorous imprisonment in a case involving the recovery of explosive materials.
ATC Judge Shahid Sikandar announced the verdict, awarding eight years rigorous imprisonment to accused Naqeebullah and seven years rigorous imprisonment to accused Saleh Raza after the charges against them were proven. The court also ordered the confiscation of the convicts’ properties in favour of the state.
Both accused were produced before the court from jail for the announcement of the verdict. Following the decision, the court directed prison authorities to shift them back to prison to serve their sentences.
According to the prosecution, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Lahore had registered case against the accused in 2025 after recovering explosive materials from their possession. The CTD had subsequently submitted the challan before the court. The CTD maintained that the accused were affiliated with a banned organization and involved in terrorist activities.
