Arts Council organizes photo exhibition to highlight Kashmir struggle

FAISALABAD, Aug 05 (APP): Punjab Council of Arts Faisalabad Division has organized a photo exhibition here on Wednesday to mark Exploitation Day of Kashmir by highlighting the plight of people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Divisional Director Arts Council Maqbool Ahmad Malik and senior leader Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Khalid Parvez Gill jointly inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of government officials, artists and members of civil society.
The photographs on display depicted the hardships, sacrifices and resilience of Kashmiri people and highlighted human rights situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The participants paid tribute to the freedom struggle of Kashmiri people and voiced solidarity with their legitimate cause.
Addressing the ceremony, Director Arts Council Maqbool Malik said that Pakistan would continue extending moral, diplomatic and political support to Kashmiri people at every level until they achieved their internationally recognized right of self-determination.
He said that observance of Exploitation Day of Kashmir served as a reminder of the sacrifices rendered by Kashmiri people and reinforced Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to their just cause.
The speakers maintained that sacrifices of Kashmiri people would never go in vain. They stressed that Pakistan would continue to raise its voice for Kashmir cause at regional and international forums. They urged the international community to play its role in ensuring implementation of United Nations resolutions on Kashmir.
The participants also raised slogans in support of the freedom of Kashmir and reaffirmed their solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Deputy Director Pukar Faisalabad Imran Raza, Zahra Batool and Tauheed Ahmad Ans were also present on the occasion.
