Armed robbers looted valuables worth approximately Rs19 million from a house in the Defence-A area of Lahore during the early hours of Sunday, police said.

LAHORE, Mar 15 (APP): Armed robbers looted valuables worth approximately Rs19 million from a house in the Defence-A area of Lahore during the early hours of Sunday, police said.
According to police sources, four armed men arrived in a white car and entered the residence around the time of sehri. The suspects allegedly held the family hostage in the TV lounge. They took away valuables, including about 200 tolas of gold, 20 tolas of diamonds, seven expensive watches, and foreign currency before fleeing the scene.
The incident reportedly occurred when the homeowner, Aamir, returned home after having sehri with his family. Police said that security guards were present at the house but were asleep in their room after sehri.
Police officials stated that an investigation has been launched from various angles. Authorities are also examining footage from Safe City surveillance cameras to trace the suspects.
Closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage of the incident has surfaced and may help investigators identify and apprehend the accused.
