LAHORE, May 14 (APP): Senior Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Senator Anusha Rehman on Wednesday held a meeting with a delegation of academics from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) to discuss digital innovation, online learning and emerging technology initiatives.
During the meeting, Senator Anusha Rehman said the Punjab government was working to introduce the province’s first comprehensive IT policy to promote innovation, digital learning and technology-driven economic growth.
The LUMS delegation briefed the meeting on various initiatives, including online learning platforms and skills-based courses being offered under LUMS. They also shared details about the university’s CeDAR (Center for Digital Assets Research) Center, blockchain research and other emerging technology projects.
Senator Anusha Rehman said the government was committed to supporting modern technological and research-based initiatives to prepare youth for future economic and industrial challenges.
The LUMS delegation comprised Dr Zartash Afzal Uzmi, Dr Basit Shafiq, Dr Ihsan Ayyub Qazi, Dr Hamad Alizai, Fatima Tanvir Gilani and Abdul Moiz Sajjad.
