Deputy Commissioner(DC) Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi on Monday formally inaugurated the anti-polio campaign by administering polio drops to children at a government maternity hospital in Gujrat.

GUJRAT, Apr 13 (APP):Deputy Commissioner(DC) Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi on Monday formally inaugurated the anti-polio campaign by administering polio drops to children at a government maternity hospital in Gujrat.
Speaking on the occasion,she said the four-day drive, running from April 13 to April 16,aims to vaccinate over 508,000 children across the district.
She added that comprehensive arrangements had been finalized in all 119 union councils to ensure smooth implementation of the campaign.
Chief Executive Officer(CEO)(Health),Dr.Syed Ata-ul-Munim,District Health Officer(DHO) Dr.Syed Aitazaz, and other officials were also present.
The DC said that a total of 2369 teams had been constituted,including mobile,fixed and transit teams to reach every child. She further said that over 5000 health workers and volunteers, along with hundreds of area in-charges would participate in the drive.
Urging parents to cooperate with vaccination teams,she emphasized that immunization was essential to protect children from Polio and ensure a healthy future.
