The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Saturday conducted five operations in different cities across the country and apprehended three suspects, recovering 75.57 kg of drugs worth over Rs 10.2 million.

RAWALPINDI, Aug 29 (APP): The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Saturday conducted five operations in different cities across the country and apprehended three suspects, recovering 75.57 kg of drugs worth over Rs 10.2 million.
According to an ANF spokesperson, during an operation at Islamabad International Airport, 17 cocaine-filled capsules weighing 126 grams were recovered from the abdomen of a passenger travelling to Jeddah.
At Jinnah International Airport, 627 grams of heroin was recovered from the baggage of a passenger travelling to Bahrain. Acting on information, ANF also apprehended another suspect and recovered 200 grams of ice from his possession.
In domestic interdiction operations, 75 kg of opium was recovered from a vehicle in Dalbandin, District Chagai.
At a courier office on Spinney Road, Quetta, 1.4 kg of hashish was recovered from cosmetics concealed in a parcel.
In another operation at a courier office on University Road, Peshawar, 35 grams of opium and 260 ecstasy tablets weighing 180 grams were recovered from a submersible water pump.
Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA), 1997, and further investigation is underway.
