The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF)on Monday conducted eight operations across the country and apprehended seven suspects, recovering 392.48 kg of drugs worth over Rs 48.2 million.

RAWALPINDI, Aug 31 (APP):The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Monday conducted eight operations across the country and apprehended seven suspects, recovering 392.48 kg of drugs worth over Rs 48.2 million.
During international drug interdiction operations, ANF recovered 38 heroin-filled capsules weighing 230 grams from the abdomen of a passenger travelling to Jeddah at Peshawar Airport.
At Jinnah International Airport, ANF recovered 6.25 kg of ice soaked in clothes from the baggage of a passenger travelling to Jeddah.
In domestic operations, 36 kg of hashish and 13.4 kg of ice were seized from a vehicle near Jacobabad, and the suspect was arrested.
In Sheikhupura, 7.2 kg of hashish, 2.2 kg of opium and 1 kg of ice were recovered from a motorcycle rider, who was apprehended.
Near Ring Road, Peshawar, 3.6 kg of hashish was recovered from a rickshaw, leading to the arrest of two suspects.
Near Hazarganji, Quetta, 300 kg of opium was seized, while 21.6 kg of hashish was recovered near Janjal Goth, Karachi.
In an inter-provincial operation near Jamshoro Toll Plaza, 1 kg of weed was recovered from a suspect.
Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA), 1997, and further investigation is underway.
