RAWALPINDI, Sep 01 (APP): The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Tuesday conducted two operations across the country and apprehended two individuals, recovering 24.57 kg of drugs worth over Rs 2.7 million.
During an international drug interdiction operation at Peshawar Airport, 970 grams of ice was recovered from the baggage of a passenger travelling to Bahrain. The suspect was arrested.
In a domestic operation near the bus terminal in Rawalpindi, ANF recovered 13.2 kg of hashish, 8.4 kg of opium and 2 kg of ice from a vehicle, apprehending an accused.
Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA), 1997, and further investigation is underway.
