The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) arrested seven suspects, including two Afghan nationals and seized 137.85 kilograms(kgs) of narcotics worth more than Rs 29.1 million in seven operations conducted across various cities of the country.

RAWALPINDI, Jun 08 (APP):The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) arrested seven suspects, including two Afghan nationals and seized 137.85 kilograms(kgs) of narcotics worth more than Rs 29.1 million in seven operations conducted across various cities of the country.
According to an ANF spokesperson on Monday, in an international drug interdiction operation at Islamabad International Airport, ANF officials recovered 1.15 kg of methamphetamine (ice) from the luggage of a passenger travelling to Bahrain and arrested the accused.
During an inter-provincial operation near the Islamabad Toll Plaza, ANF seized 81.6kg of hashish, 12kg of methamphetamine and 500 grams of heroin from a vehicle and arrested two Afghan nationals.
In another operation at the same location, officials recovered 11.05 kg of heroin, two pistols, five magazines and 70 rounds of ammunition from a vehicle and took one suspect into custody.
In Rawalpindi, ANF recovered 13.2 kg of hashish from a suspect near a petrol pump and arrested the accused.
Separately, authorities seized 12 kg of hashish from a vehicle near Kuchlak Bypass in Baleli and apprehended the suspect involved.
In Sukkur, ANF recovered 6 kg of hashish from a suspect near a bus terminal and arrested the individual.
Meanwhile, ANF officials recovered 600 ecstasy tablets weighing 345 grams from two parcels at a courier office located at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore.
The spokesperson said that cases had been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997 and further investigations were underway.
