RAWALPINDI, Jul 30 (APP):Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Forestry and Wildlife, Malik Qasim Nadeem, emphasized the need to align technical education with international market requirements to expand overseas employment opportunities for Pakistani youth.
Speaking during a visit to the Arid Institute of Sciences, Malik Qasim highlighted the private sector’s crucial role in bridging the skill gap and urged educational institutions to expand short-term vocational courses tailored to overseas demand.
Briefing the Parliamentary Secretary, Institute CEO Mian Muhammad Sajid detailed that alongside degree programs in Computer Science and Business Administration, the institute partners with the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) to deliver market-driven short courses.
He noted that equipping youth with targeted skills directly enhances Pakistani workforce competitiveness abroad, driving higher foreign remittance inflows.
The visit was attended by Oxford International CEO Muhammad Shafique and Arid Institute Director Khursheed Yousaf.
