Alleged poisoning of 18-Year old driver sparks murder investigation in Alipur

The police  registered a murder case after an 18-year-old man allegedly died from poisoning , the police sources  said on Wednesday.

MUZAFFARGARH , Jul 22 (APP):The police  registered a murder case after an 18-year-old man allegedly died from poisoning , the police sources  said on Wednesday.
According to a police,  Gulfam, a resident of Tangwani village in Alipur tehsil, was allegedly forced to consume wheat pesticide tablets mixed into a soft drink.
The police said unidentified individuals abandoned the victim outside his home late at night before fleeing.
Gulfam told his mother before losing consciousness that two identified suspects, Saifullah and Nomi, along with two unidentified accomplices, had given him the poisoned drink,they added.
The victim was initially taken to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital,  Alipur before being transferred to Bahawal Victoria Hospital in Bahawalpur, where he later died.
Police said doctors confirmed that the death was caused by poisoning. The body was taken into police custody and sent for a post-mortem examination.
A murder case has been registered at City Police Station Alipur on the complaint of the victim’s mother, and a search is underway to arrest the suspects.
