AIOU opens Autumn 2026 admissions, applications invited till Aug 24

FAISALABAD, Jul 01 (APP):Regional Office of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has invited applications for admissions to various programmes of Autumn Semester 2026 up to August 24, 2026.
Regional Director AIOU Faisalabad Dr. Bashir Ahmad Sameem said on Wednesday that admissions had formally opened for the Autumn 2026 semester and prospective students were encouraged to complete the admission process well before the deadline to avoid any inconvenience.
He said that admissions were being offered in a variety of programs including Matric, FA, I.Com, F.Sc., Associate Degree, BA, B.Com, BS, BBA and B.Ed., enabling students to choose programs according to their educational qualifications, career aspirations and academic interests.
Dr. Bashir Ahmad Sameem said that Allama Iqbal Open University had been playing a pivotal role in expanding access to quality and affordable distance education across Pakistan, providing educational opportunities to millions of students who, due to professional, financial or personal commitments, were unable to pursue conventional education.
He said that the university’s flexible learning system had enabled learners from urban and rural areas to continue their education without interrupting their professional and family responsibilities, thereby contributing significantly to the promotion of higher education in the country.
He advised aspiring students not to wait until the closing date and urged them to complete their admission forms and deposit the prescribed fee well before August 24, 2026 to ensure timely processing of their applications.
