RAWALPINDI, Sep 22 (APP):Vice Chancellor of Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza said that while artificial intelligence is fundamentally transforming content creation and communication, the core human values, including trust, creative integrity and ethical stewardship remain entirely irreplaceable.
Addressing the opening session of the 3rd International Conference on Media and Communication (ICMAC 2026) as Chief Guest at Foundation University Islamabad, Dr. Mirza emphasized that higher education institutions bear a crucial responsibility in training emerging scholars to critically analyze digital tools, counter online misinformation, and uphold ethical standards across the evolving media landscape.
Themed “Media Dynamics in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Innovation, Trust, Creativity and Sustainability in the Digital World,” the international summit brought together researchers, media professionals and academics from Germany, the United States, Sri Lanka, and Türkiye, alongside representatives from 13 partner universities across Pakistan.
The conference featured technical sessions and research presentations focusing on human-AI synergy, digital storytelling, algorithmic bias, media literacy, and sustainable digital entrepreneurship.
Dr. Bushra Mirza highlighted FJWU’s commitment to advancing research, encouraging inter-institutional collaboration, and preparing women scholars to navigate and lead in an AI-driven global ecosystem.
