RAWALPINDI, Oct 05 (APP): The Women Police Station Rawalpindi registered a domestic violence case against the husband of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters) Maleeha Sahar following allegations of physical and psychological abuse. A local court awarded the accused physical remand into judicial custody for 14 days.
According to the FIR registered under Sections 342 (wrongful confinement) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Pakistan Penal Code, Sahar submitted an application seeking immediate protection, detailing months of severe mental and physical harassment.
The complainant stated that on the evening of October 2, her husband physically assaulted her, forcibly confiscated her mobile phone, and locked her in a room, depriving her of contact with her family and two children while issuing death threats.
Following his arrest, police produced the accused before a local magistrate, who ordered his 14-day judicial remand to Adyala Jail.
