ACE arrests absconder in insulin theft case
MULTAN, Jul 29 (APP): Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Multan arrested a proclaimed offender wanted in a case involving theft of government insulin injections worth Rs 20 million.
A team led by Mukhtar Hussain, Circle Officer, ACE Headquarters Multan, arrested accused Sidaqat Ali alias Moon, son of Liaquat, under the supervision of Regional Director ACE Multan Basharat Nabi.
The accused was wanted in Case No. 2180, registered on September 10, 2024, at Shah Shams police station under Section 480 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
According to details, the accused and his accomplices had stolen 29,000 insulin injections worth Rs 20 million through deceit. He was found involved in the crime during investigation but remained absconding to evade arrest, following which the court had declared him a proclaimed offender.
The ACE Punjab reiterated its commitment to redressing public complaints, promoting transparent governance and eradicating corruption, and vowed to continue legal action against corrupt elements without discrimination.
It urged citizens to lodge their complaints against corruption with the ACE to ensure timely action against corrupt elements.
