RAWALPINDI, Aug 02 (APP):Assistant Commissioner Murree visited various polling stations across the tehsil on Sunday to review polling arrangements, security measures and facilities being provided to voters as polling continued in the second phase of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly elections.
During the visits, the assistant commissioner inspected polling arrangements, met election staff, security personnel and voters, and directed officials to ensure that all necessary facilities were available to polling staff.
He also emphasized facilitating elderly and persons with disabilities by ensuring easy access to polling stations.
Deputy Commissioner Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi reaffirmed the district administration’s commitment to ensure full compliance with the election code of conduct so that voters could exercise their democratic right in a peaceful, transparent and secure environment.
He said the district administration, in coordination with law enforcement agencies, remained on high alert and was fully prepared to respond to any untoward incident to ensure the smooth conduct of the polling process.
