7 passengers injured due to driver’s negligence

At least seven passengers suffered injuries after their coach skidded off road and overturned in an agriculture field due to negligence of the driver in Pakki Pul area of Ahmadpur East.

BAHAWALPUR, Jul 09 (APP): At least seven passengers suffered injuries after their coach skidded off road and overturned in an agriculture field due to negligence of the driver in Pakki Pul area of Ahmadpur East.
According to the rescue staff, a non-AC passenger bus was traveling from Multan to its destination when the driver lost control of the vehicle after drinking a cold beverage while driving. “The bus overturned, crossed the divider, and veered onto the opposite side of the road before coming to rest in nearby fields,” they said.
They further said that the bus had a seating capacity of 72 passengers, with 25 passengers on board at the time of the accident, adding that seven passengers sustained injuries. Fortunately, all injuries were reported to be non-life-threatening.
Rescue teams provided first aid to the injured before shifting them to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Ahmedpur East for further medical treatment. Local police also reached the scene and started investigating the incident. Further probe was in process.
