4 drug suppliers arrested, over 14kg drugs recovered

On the directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera, Rawalpindi Police have intensified their crackdown against drug peddlers and arrested four alleged drug suppliers, including a major supplier, recovering more than 14.5 kilograms of hashish from their possession.

RAWALPINDI, Jul 16 (APP): On the directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera, Rawalpindi Police have intensified their crackdown against drug peddlers and arrested four alleged drug suppliers, including a major supplier, recovering more than 14.5 kilograms of hashish from their possession.
According to police spokesperson, Waris Khan Police arrested a key drug supplier and recovered 10.2kg of hashish from his possession.
During preliminary investigation, the arrested suspect allegedly disclosed that he had been supplying narcotics in different areas of the city, including educational institutions.
Police said the arrested suspect was a previous offender and had criminal records involving attempted murder, vehicle theft, narcotics cases and illegal weapons.
In separate operations, Kallar Syedan Police held another supplier and recovered 1.7kg of hashish while Banni Police apprehended another individual with 1.5kg of hashish.
Ganjmandi Police also arrested a suspect and recovered 1.5kg of hashish from his possession.
Separate cases have been registered against all the arrested suspects, and further investigations are underway.
CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera said that all possible measures were being taken to eliminate the menace of drugs from society. He directed police officials to continue strict action against drug suppliers and ensure that those involved in conducted illegal businesses are brought to justice.
