Police have finalized comprehensive security and traffic arrangements for cattle markets across the district following the instructions of City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.
250 police personnel deployed on Eid-ul-Azha Cattle Market security

RAWALPINDI, May 21 (APP): Police have finalized comprehensive security and traffic arrangements for cattle markets across the district following the instructions of City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.
More than 250 police officers and personnel have been deployed to perform security and traffic management duties at eight cattle markets established in different areas of Rawalpindi. Police officials are actively carrying out security duties to ensure the safety of traders and citizens visiting the markets.
The cattle markets have been set up at Bhata Chowk near Koh Noor Mills, near Sharif Hospital Stop Wah Cantt, Timber Market Road Taxila, near Fatima Jinnah University on Chakri Road, near Mankiala Bridge Kallar Syedan, Gulyana Road near Slaughter House Gujar Khan, Tangi Road Kahuta, and Mangal Chowk Kallar Bypass.
According to police spokespersons, police mobile units, Dolphin Force, and Muhafiz Squad teams are conducting regular patrolling in and around the cattle markets to maintain law and order and prevent any untoward incidents during the Eid shopping rush.
City Police Officer Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani said that the protection of citizens’ lives and property remained the top priority of Rawalpindi Police, adding that all available resources were being utilized to provide a secure environment at the cattle markets during Eid-ul-Aza.
