Police have arrested two suspects, including a woman, for their alleged involvement in a house theft case and recovered stolen gold jewellery worth more than Rs2.7 million along with Rs150,000 cash obtained from the sale of the stolen ornaments, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.

RAWALPINDI, May 12 (APP):Police have arrested two suspects, including a woman, for their alleged involvement in a house theft case and recovered stolen gold jewellery worth more than Rs2.7 million along with Rs150,000 cash obtained from the sale of the stolen ornaments, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.
According to police, the theft was committed by the daughter of a domestic worker in collaboration with her accomplice.
The suspect had been residing with her parents in the servant quarters of the house where the theft took place, the spokesman added.
New Town police have registered a case and further investigation was in progress.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Rawal Saad Arshad commended police team for their swift action and professionalism and said the accused would be challaned in court with solid evidence.
