Police have intensified the crackdown against drug trafficking following arrest of two suspected drug suppliers and recovered more than four kilograms of hashish from their possession.

RAWALPINDI, Aug 09 (APP): Police have intensified the crackdown against drug trafficking following arrest of two suspected drug suppliers and recovered more than four kilograms of hashish from their possession.

According to police spokesperson, Civil Lines Police arrested a drug supplier and recovered 2.4 kg of hashish from his possession.
In a separate operation, Banni Police held another supplier and recovered 1.5 kg of hashish.
Separate cases have been registered against the suspects, police said, adding that all possible measures are being taken to curb the menace of drugs and prevent their supply in the city.
Likewise, Cantt Police have arrested two-member motorcycle theft gang and recovered three stolen motorcycles from their possession.
Police said separate investigations are underway to determine the gang’s involvement in other motorcycle theft incidents, while further legal proceedings against the arrested suspects were in progress.
