At least 11 people were killed and 1,573 others injured in 1,367 road traffic crashes reported across all 38 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours, the Emergency Services Department (ESD) said on Tuesday.

LAHORE, Sep 29 (APP): At least 11 people were killed and 1,573 others injured in 1,367 road traffic crashes reported across all 38 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours, the Emergency Services Department (ESD) said on Tuesday.
According to Rescue 1122 data, 714 seriously injured victims were shifted to different hospitals, while 859 people with minor injuries were provided treatment at the incident sites by rescue medical teams.
The data showed that the victims included 899 drivers, 70 underage drivers, 194 pedestrians and 491 passengers.
Lahore topped the list with 274 road crashes affecting 335 people, followed by Multan with 94 crashes and 95 victims, while Faisalabad recorded 85 crashes involving 91 people.
The vehicles involved in the crashes included 1,506 motorcycles, 92 auto-rickshaws, 161 motorcars, 37 vans, seven passenger buses, 37 trucks and 59 other vehicles and slow-moving carts.
