Police claimed on Friday to have arrested 11 gamblers during a crackdown against gambling in the jurisdiction of Shera Kot Police Station.

LAHORE, Mar 13 (APP): Police claimed on Friday to have arrested 11 gamblers during a crackdown against gambling in the jurisdiction of Shera Kot Police Station.

On a tip-off SHO Shera Kot Mian Asim, along with his police team, conducted a raid at a snooker club in Malik Park and apprehended the suspects who were allegedly placing bets on a snooker game.

Police also recovered mobile phones and thousands of rupees in cash used for betting from their possession. Six snooker sticks and 18 snooker balls were also seized as evidence.

The arrested suspects were identified as Bilal, Saifullah, Yasir, Usama, Asif, Sunny, Imran, Mehboob and others. A case has been registered against them and further investigation is underway.

SP Iqbal Town Sidra Khan appreciated the SHO and his team for the successful operation.
