Voters satisfied over ECP arrangements

ISLAMABAD,Nov 30(APP): People here in UC-13 and UC-31 on Monday expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for holding of first ever Local Government Elections.
Contesting candidates from Pakistan Muslim League (N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in UC-13 ward 5, said that “We are satisfied over the security and other arrangements made by the ECP for holding of LG elections”.
Registered votes in the UC-13 are 834. As many as 44 candidates from various political parties and independents are contesting the elections for various slots.
In UC 31 female polling, registered vote are 678. Presiding Officers in the UC-13 had demanded the authority to deployment of more female security personnel.
In UC 31, ward 2 and 5 presiding officer Farhat Yasmeen said registered votes are 1200. She said people are freely casting their votes.
