LAHORE, Dec 8 (APP): Provincial Labour Minister and PML-N Punjab President Raja Ashfaq Sarwar on Tuesday said, the success of PML-N candidates in local bodies polls was the outcome of government’s best performance and people-friendly policies.
Talking to a delegation of workers in his office, he said, the party had emerged as lone victorious in the recently held local government elections because of historic development
projects and its rising popularity among masses. He said, LB elections would help further strengthen democratic institutions of the country and empower the masses at grass-roots level.He credited Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif for ensuring violence free and transparent elections in the province.He said, people were backing Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s policies for steering the country out of crises and putting it to the path of prosperity and progress.The minister said, people had rejected negative politics and extended their full support to the PML-N and its policies. He was of the opinion that Imran Khan after local bodies elections results should gauge his popularity.
