In order to restore these cultural and architectural sites, Aga Khan Foundation Pakistan / Aga Khan Cultural Service Pakistan carried out an extensive conservation and restoration project between January 2022 and December 2023 in collaboration with the Walled City of Lahore Authority will preserve structures located on the southern side of the Wazir Khan Mosque including the seventeenth century Tomb of Imam Gamun, six hujras and central pavilion, and the south-east minaret of the Mosque.
