LONDON, Feb 15 (APP):High Commissioner of Pakistan to United Kingdom (UK), Mohammad Nafees Zakaria Friday met with Minister of State for Asia and the Pacific, Rt Hon Mark Field MP, accompanied by members of the Pakistan team from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and discussed matters of bilateral interests, regional issued and recent developments.
Welcoming the high commissioner to the United Kingdom, the minister assured all assistance in discharging his duties and endeavours to further strengthen the longstanding cordial bilateral relations.
Field expressed his government’s desire to enhance bilateral economic cooperation, particularly, through trade and investment.
He appreciated Pakistani diaspora as a strong bridge between the two countries.
The high commissioner apprised the minister of the government’s priorities, policy approach towards promoting foreign relations, peace and security in the region, and at the domestic front, economic reforms, governance and people centric socioeconomic development plans.
Both sides also discussed matters of bilateral interest, regional issues and recent developments.
