Pak disabled cricketers’ camp ends


ISLAMABAD, Mar 7 (APP):The three day trails camp of Pakistan disabled cricketers in preparation for the Tri Nation Series in England in July concluded on Wednesday at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi.
The trails were taken by Chief selector Iqbal Imam and members Sabih Azhar, Mohammad Jawed and Ashraf.
As many as 29 cricketers attended the camp. The chief selector Iqbal Imam said all the players responded well in the trials camp. “All players who participated in the camp are ready to play for Pakistan disabled team and I am hopeful that they will produce good results in the UK tour,” he said.
He said the squad for the tour will be finalized after the approval of president Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA) and former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif which will be announced later in Karachi.
PDCA Amiruddin Ansari said the training camp of Pakistan disabled cricket team will be establined in Karachi.
In the trails match President XI beat Patron XI by 7 wickets. Patron XI batting first and scored 105-9 in 20 overs. Adil Abbasi was a top scorer with 36 not out including 5 fours, Zubair Saleem made 20 with 2 fours, Hasnain Alam score 14 runs with 3 fours.
Medium Pacer Abdullah Ejaz grab 3 wickets for 10 runs while emerging talent off spinner majid hussain bowl with both hands and very impressed to the selector he got 2 wickets for 22 runs.
In reply, President XI reached the target 110-3 in 19 overs, Saif Ullah scores 36 not out with 6 fours, Rehan Ghani Mirza made 16 runs not out while arif Richard scored 18 runs with 4 fours. Abdullah Khan and Fayyaz Ahmed took 1 wicket each
