ADG RDA directs authorities to make earnest efforts for beautification of city

RAWALPINDI, Jun 10 (APP):Additional Director General (ADG), Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Awais Manzoor Tarar here on Monday directed the authorities concerned to make earnest efforts for the beautification of Rawalpindi city.
Chairing a meeting held to discuss various initiatives, the Additional DG said that the authority on the special directives of the Director General, RDA Kinza Murtaza was making all-out efforts to enhance beauty of Rawalpindi city.
According to the RDA spokesperson, the meeting focused on key agenda items related to the beautification of the VVIP route on Old Airport Road (Noor Khan Airbase), the Islamabad Airport route, and several main intersections of the city. Other topics included the construction of concrete streets in RDA-controlled areas, the 13-A Civil Lines construction, the development of the Green Channel and the establishment of a Ladies Club in Civil Lines area.
The Additional DG RDA gave one week deadline and directed the directors to submit proposals on the agenda items. He further said that all-out efforts should be made for the beautification of the city and asked the directors to accelerate the construction work to complete the ongoing projects within shortest possible time frame.
The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer Muhammad Anwar Baran, Director of Administration and Finance Asif Mahmood Janjua, Director of Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering Jamshaid Aftab, Director of Architecture Shuja Ali, Director of Land Malik Ghazanfar Ali Awan, Director of Estate Management Shahzad Gondal, Director of Engineering Muhammad Kamran, Deputy Director of Finance Muhammad Junaid Taj Bhatti, Deputy Director Planning Muhammad Samiullah Niazi, Deputy Director Administration Iftikhar Ali, Deputy Director IT Dawood Khalid, and other RDA officers.
